Christmas is a time for giving and each year we support the Pounds for Presents appeal run by the NI Cancer Fund for Children. Instead of sending in presents for staff, we have envelopes and a donation box in school for this worthy cause.

Our annual Christmas draw tickets can be purchased at the shows as well as from the office. Prizes are: 1st £100 cash 2nd £50 cash 3rd £40 voucher The Barn 4th Amazon Echo Dot 5th £20 voucher for The Kismat Indian Restaurant, Downpatrick An additional £50 prize has been donated by DSC Cars Downpatrick. We have been ‘tidying’ our lost property box and there is a lot of unwanted uniform in school. If you would like to take any items, please call in and take what you want. A small donation would be appreciated, but isn’t necessary.

Our annual PTFA Halloween Disco is on Thursday 24th October. P1-P3 from 6:30pm-7:30pm and P4-P7 from 8-9pm. £3 per child or max £5 per family including a treat and a prize for the disco king and queen (witch & wizard perhaps?) in each class. Last year our Parents, Teachers and Friends Association were focused on raising money for additional books. Our Accelerated Reading programme has increased the number of books being read by our children and we were desperately in need of new books for them to read.
