Red Marble Rocks the Hall: Battle Royale Champion Crowned!
The fourth annual Times Tables Rockstars Battle Royale Face-Off proved to be another unforgettable event, filled with excitement, determination, and outstanding mathematical talent.
Held in the school hall in front of an enthusiastic audience of pupils from P2 through to P7, the competition brought together some of the school’s quickest thinkers and sharpest mathematicians. The atmosphere was electric as competitors battled through rounds of rapid-fire questions, demonstrating not only their knowledge of times tables but also their incredible speed and accuracy.
After a series of highly competitive rounds, two standout performers emerged to contest the grand final: Red Marble (Noah, P7) and Brandon Boombox (Callum, P6). Both finalists had fought off stiff competition to reach this stage, showcasing exceptional focus and resilience along the way.
The final face-off was nothing short of thrilling. With the entire hall watching closely, the two competitors went head-to-head in a tense and fast-paced showdown. Questions flashed up at lightning speed, and the boys responded just as quickly—often answering before many in the audience had even had time to read the question!
In the end, it was Red Marble (Noah, P7) who emerged victorious, securing the title after an intense battle. His speed, accuracy, and composure under pressure earned him a well-deserved win and crowned him this year’s champion.
A huge congratulations also goes to Brandon Boombox (Callum, P6) for an outstanding performance and a hard-fought runner-up finish.
Noah joins previous winners - Riley O'Hare, Luch Halpin and Caragh Mooney. An illustrious band of multiplication mavericks!
The event was a fantastic celebration of numeracy skills, confidence, and healthy competition. Well done to all who took part and to those who supported from the audience. We are already looking forward to next year’s Battle Royale!
