P4 listened to Cecilia Daly tell us that this might be the hottest November day on record but the temperature was plummeting in P4. First we carried out an experiment looking at what happens when a cold front meets a warm front. We learned that the warm air rises and cold air sinks just as the warm front surprisingly brings rain! During our Activity Based Learning we swapped out the sand for snow and ice as we sorted for seasons, made play dough snowmen and igloos for penguins - yes that was REAL ice!
