National Finals 2026
20th Apr 2026
Our Credit Union quizzers made the journey to Dublin at the weekend for the National Finals. Our first time there was certainly an experience. Hosted in the RDS it was a fantastic event and the sheer scale of it was almost overwhelming.
More than 25,000 pupils started the quiz journey, ending in the 116 teams who were there to do battle on Sunday afternoon. While the sun shone brightly outside, the real heat was on at the tables. After two straightforward questions to get us started, the rest of the quiz proved as tough as they come. Forget about Mastermind, or The Chasers, this was more Only Connect! (IYKYK)
Thanks to Anne from Downpatrick CU for being there to wish us luck. Thanks to the families who made the long journey down and supported the children so well. Most of all, thanks to the children for putting themselves forward for our school and representing us so well. We are so extremely proud of you!
