A very special day in St Patrick’s as we celebrated the retirements of Mrs McDowell and Mrs Fitzsimons.
There was plenty of laughter (and a few tears!) as we shared memories, including a humorous look back at Mrs McDowell’s life and time in school. P5 shared a lovely poem they had written - it perfectly summed her up!
We also enjoyed a tribute capturing Mrs Fitzsimons’ quiet dedication and the difference she has made to so many children over the years. P6 also shared a poem with us and it certainly reflected her hard work in St Patrick's. They also received some gifts on behalf of the children, colleagues, governors and families. Well deserved!
Two incredible members of staff who have given so much to our school community. They will be greatly missed—but we wish them many happy, relaxing years ahead! Plenty more time for the things and people they love!
