Good morning - I hope you are all well. The weekend was lovely and I met some of you out on your bikes or walking with your families. Saturday would have been such a beautiful day for P4 and their First Holy Communion. We will just have to look forward to it instead. Thanks to Fr Alexander for remembering P4 at Mass yesterday. Did you give him a virtual high-5?

Another week at home and your teachers have set out plenty of work on Learn@Home on the website. Please remember to do what you can and if you have other activities or things to be doing, that's fine. The work is there if needed. We do expect everyone to be reading, practicing some writing and number work. It's vital to keep your minds ticking over until we can get back to school. Do what you can. Friday is a Bank Holiday, so perhaps a longer weekend would be a good idea for everyone too?

There's a great task on Newsdesk today about Favourite things. What are your favourite things? Here's a few of mine:

Ice Cream: Raspberry Ripple

Drink: Tea

Sandwich: Ham & Cheese with mustard

TV Programme: Danger Mouse

Meal: Roast dinner

Hobby: Golf

Sweets: Maltesers

Season: Spring

Subject: Numeracy

What are your favourite things? Do you know your family's favourite things? Perhaps you could create a little survey of your family's favourite things this week and let us know the results?

Junior Newsdesk will be very interesting to those of you who love learning about WW2. Dig for Victory. There's a very interesting recipe for a chocolate sponge cake which needs a potato in it! I know lots of you have been baking while you've been at home - my daughter Niamh made delicious choc-chip cookies yesterday. Perhaps you could make a WW2 cake?

Remember to continue praying for those people who are sick and all of those people caring for them and providing essential services. Pray for your families and friends. During May we ask Mary the mother of all God's children to look after us.

Stay safe.
