Our girls football team made the long journey to Burren GAC for the Cuman na mBunscol County Indoor Finals and represented the Downpatrick area schools and our club so well on a morning of fantastic football.
They won games against Drumgreenagh and Loughinisland, drew with the Meadow and then were narrowly beaten by a point by Kilcoo. That meant their last game against Carrick was make or break and in spite of having a few chances, they were defeated. While heads were down, we were so proud of them because they had played so well throughout and both teams who had won against them contested the final. A huge GRMA to everyone who helped with lifts for the final and heat and we now look forward to plenty more sport before the end of term 3.
