Our Cross Country team smashed the second round of the Flahavan’s Cross Country Series earlier today in Dunleath Park, Downpatrick. The heavy overnight rain made the course even tougher than usual, but at least it was dry for running in. The girls kicked things off with grit and determination, followed by the boys powering through the course. Conditions were tough – heavy going and seriously muddy – but our runners didn’t let that stop them! Huge well done to everyone who gave it their all and represented St Patrick's so proudly.

When we got back to school, the buckets of warm soapy water were out so we could wash down the athletes' legs and get them in for lunch. It looked like they had brought most of the course home with them! Thankfully Mrs McKeown has the kit washed and out drying.
