We've had to wait a long time, but finally our P5 children were able to celebrate their First Holy Communion at the weekend. In between the heavy downpours they made their way to the church on Saturday and Sunday morning with their parents. Everyone looked so well and we were so proud of them as they were so reverent and made what was a very unusual parish occasion, such a special one for everyone who was allowed to be there. A big thank you to Fr Alexander who told the children that they were receiving the best gift ever - the Body of Christ. Thanks also to our amazing families and children who followed the guidelines so precisely and thanks to our school staff who helped prepare the children so well. P5s will enjoy a special day today, with lots of fun and games.
