This week, we were delighted to welcome Emma and Kate from Downpatrick Credit Union to our school assembly. They spoke to the children about the importance of saving and how they can start saving with the Credit Union.
The children learned about the many reasons people save — from planning for university, buying a first car, going on holiday, or simply saving for something special. They also shared some fantastic ideas of their own!
Flyers were sent home in schoolbags today, and application forms will be available from school after the Hallowe’en break. Once everything is set up, Downpatrick Credit Union will visit the school regularly to collect savings and help encourage our pupils to save rather than spend, spend, spend!
