Cuman na mBunscoil 2025
What a day of football action at the blitz!
First up, both our boys and girls faced off against our local rivals from Loughinisland—and what a start it was! Two nail-biting games saw us edge out victories, with the girls clinching a thrilling 1–0 win!
Next came the formidable challenge of Kilcoo. The boys gave it everything, but Kilcoo’s slick passing and relentless pace proved too strong—not just for us, but for every team on the day. The girls, however, came heartbreakingly close, losing by just a single point after a last-minute shot skimmed just wide of the net!
Aghaderg were up next, and they didn’t make it easy. But this is where the boys hit their stride, playing some beautiful football and securing a well-earned win. The girls showed real grit and determination, grinding out a victory by making every scoring chance count, even with less possession.
That left the final showdown against Barr, with runners-up spots on the line. Both teams fought with heart and passion, but in two incredibly close games, we just missed out—each by a single point!
Regardless of the results, every child was a credit to their families, their clubs, and of course, to St Patrick’s PS. Their teamwork, sportsmanship, and spirit were on full display all day long.
A huge thank you to Kilcoo for hosting such a fantastic event, and to Mr. Lawlor and his team for organising it all so smoothly. Special thanks to everyone who helped—or offered to help—with transport. Your support means the world and made it possible for the children to take part in this special day of sport.
