We are pleased to promote this year’s Big Summer Read, organised by Libraries NI.
Aimed at primary-aged children, the programme encourages reading over the summer with this year’s theme, “The Story Tree.” Children can read at their own pace and choose books they enjoy.
As part of the National Year of Reading, families are encouraged to keep reading over the holidays. Rewards include:
- 5 books – bookmark
- 10 books – certificate (celebrated in school)
The programme runs from 29 June to 31 August 2026.
Children can sign up at their local library.
