A Fresh Start and a Special Journey – Our New Year Assembly
We gathered for our first assembly of 2026 to celebrate the start of a brand-new year.
A new year is like opening a fresh page in a book: it’s a chance to learn, grow, and make good choices. During the assembly, we talked about resolutions—small promises we can make to ourselves to help make our school and our world a kinder place.
We also reflected on the Feast of the Epiphany, which reminds us of the wise men who followed a star to find Jesus. Their journey teaches us to keep going even when things are hard, to give our best gifts, and to follow the light. Just like the wise men, we can start this year by choosing kindness, honesty, and love. Our gifts might not be gold or frankincense, but we can give the gift of friendship, helping others, and doing our best.
Here’s a thought to carry with us:
“The wise men followed a star to find Jesus. We can follow the light of kindness and love every day.”
Let’s make 2026 a year full of good choices, bright ideas, and caring hearts!
