100th Day

6th Feb 2023

Today is the 100th day of the school year. 100 days smarter as the P3s put it on their 100 bookmarks they made for passing around the school. At a special assembly earlier, every class brought 100 of something to share with each other. The theme of Children's Mental Health week is, 'Let's Connect,' and we connected with each other brilliantly with our 100 work.

P1s made special hats, with groups of ten on them. This included a group of ten on their initials. Kirsten got up and showed us ten Ks. Tom got up and showed us ten Ts.

P2s gathered 100 leaves of all shapes and sizes. Mr McGrath then threw them up and they timed how long it took to collect them. Can you guess how many seconds it took? Yes, that's right - 100 seconds!

P3 brought 100 bookmarks, 100 haribos (Yum!) and a house made of one hundred cubes.

P4 brought along 100 books (well 96 to be exact!) Ruby even brought her own book that she's written herself.

P5 brought one hundred rocks because they're 'Rockstars.' Each rock was numbered and the children were asked to step forward if they had the answer to sums that the other children asked them. Daire asked 110-18, which was tricky.

P6 brought along 100 starbursts and 100 positive affirmations (tying in nicely with CMH week 2023).

P7s brought along 100 jokes and there were a few funny ones amongst them!

It was a lovely morning and we really enjoyed celebrating our 100th day of school.
